Our good friend Guppy drove us through the mountains on the windy, phenomenal Number 7 highway to Baling for a sweet weekend spent hiking, swimming, river tracing, hot spring-ing, barbecuing and dodging rockfall.

Transit of Venus

I've been updating so little because I hate my camera and I keep forgetting to bring it out.

In the meantime, here is an amazing photograph I took that totally captures the transit of Venus earlier this month.

Been wanting to do this hike for a long time. The base of Elephant Mountain is just 15 minutes walking from Taipei 101 and the top provides some pretty great views of the city.

Back in Taiwan?! I've wasted no time rushing back to Xiao Wulai for some humid and sweaty hiking.
